The book «Quinque columnarum exacta descriptio» starts with an introduction that is one and a half pages long. The first letter of the first word is printed much larger than the other letters. It is shown in a small picture in which two people are standing.
There is a total of seven chapters, each of them describes a column. The layout is always the same. The title of the chapter is on the left side with the text underneath it and on the right side there is a large picture. The text is very narrow and describes the column over two pages. The first letter of the first word is again shown larger but no longer in a picture. The drawing on the right always shows the top half of a column. The lower half is on the second page. The chapters always have two pages. The columns in the picture are drawn very discreetly and clearly. One can see not only a drawing, but also many inscriptions with the dimensions of the individual column parts.
At the end of these seven chapters there are two pages with their own heading. I think in these two pages there are two columns summarized again. In the book there are relatively more pictures than there is text. The focus is on the individual details of the columns and therefore I think that the text describes it very clearly and precisely.
