In the book „ Archisesto per formar con facilità li cinque ordini d’architettura : con altri particolari intorno la medesma professione / del signor Ottavio Revesi Bruti, gentilhuomo vicentino“ by Ottavio Revesi Bruti, text pages and illustrations alternate. The text is usually organized in one block per page. Every text page has the headline „ordine“ whereas the drawings have a headline with the corresponding order (e.g. „ionico“). The first letter of every page is illustrated/decorated and in a much bigger font size than the rest of the text.
After the preface is a list of contend followed by another short preface. On the first page of every chapter is a line with decoration above the actual headline. Next to the headline are the page numbers on every page.
The illustrations are architectural drawings of the different orders. Some show the whole column to illustrate its proportions. Other drawings show details and ornaments of the architrave or capital. In the whole book are just three drawings that are not placed in this basic grid of left side test and right side image. The first is like decor on the first page with the whole title of the book. The second one is a rather small drawing on the last page of the preface. The third one is just after the preface. It is the only drawing that needs the space of a double page. All the other drawings are the size of one page. In the lower right corner on every page with a drawing seems to be the drawers initials.
