The text is structured individually in the different sections of the book:
In the vocabulary list at the beginning of the book, the text is divided into 2 columns, where only text is present. The font size is about 12 and there are no titles. The first letters of each new vocabulary are moved to the left to find them more quickly.
In the section where the 10 books are explained there is only 1 column left. At the beginning of each new chapter in the respective books, historiated initials are used, which stretch over several lines. Furthermore a new chapter is not introduced with a larger title but is indicated at the end of the previous chapter in the body text. At the top of the page, the book number indicates in which of the 10 books you are currently reading. The numbers also function as titles. The page number is only mentioned on the top right-hand side of the page which means only each second page. The section of the 10 books now also includes illustrations, which include architectural-, perspective-, schematic- as well as detail drawings. The illustrations are scattered over the 10 books and are neither numbered nor referenced. The size of the illustrations ranges from small to large, sometimes they fit into the body text, sometimes they take up half a page for themselves or they deserve a whole page. What must be said is that the text takes up more space than the illustrations. Nevertheless the illustrations seem important, also because they contain letters (a,b,c etc.) to indicate certain points in the text.
What remains the same throughout the book are the margins, where on a double page the outer margins are wider than the inner ones. In addition, the continuous text is written in justified text.
The book has the character of a textbook with literary references and therefore belong to the genre of non-fiction rather than specialist books.
