In the book “architettura della basilica di s. Pietro in Vaticano” which was written by costaguti, giovanni battista, the architecture of the basilica san pietro is described with text and plans. What attracts attention is that text and plans are strictly separated. In the first 28 pages we can only find text and after that the following pages are only plans and sketches without continuous text.
The continuous text is directly printed on the pages of the books, what you can see on page 27.
The pages with plans seem to be printed separately and glued into the book, as you can see on page 88.
Additionally, it occurs to me in a strange way that the pages with text are double-sided and the pages with plans are not. You can find that on page 86.
