I chose the picture of the square at the palace because it is nowadays probably the most photographed site at that palace, and I found the section (Schnitt) very interesting, how it used to be done. The book had a hard cover to protect the pages from ageing over time.

Auf diesen beiden Seiten sieht man, dass das Buch ausklappbare Seiten mit Skizzen hat, zudem ist ersichtlich welchem Thema das Buch gewidmet ist. Das Buch ist etwa 300 Jahre alt, aber gebunden wie ein modernes Buch.

The book gets held together through two ribbons and a hard case, which protects the old pages inside. When a few pages Iie on one another, you can see a surprising blue colour appearing on the side of the book. I also like, how some pages can be folded out to view the whole image…

The Book is pretty thin and old but its good mantained. The cover is made out of leather and is a little bit damaged. The smell is what i would say normal for a book. The sites still feel smooth and aren’t as rough as I had expected. 21-920-368 Schöni Michael
