The first Word(s) I’ve chosen was simply the name of the author of my Book – Ermenegildo Pini. In my first attempt, the topic of conversation was of course architecture, whilst using the Xenotheka Library’s Brain. This first search attempt, resulted in a in just one result, that came really close to what I was Locking for. But more on that later.
The second term I tried was 1770, the year, when the book was written or made respectively. I’ve also used architecture as topic of conversation and the Xenotheka Library’s Brain. As expected I got overwhelmed with over 10’000 results, covering the Topic of architecture and art history. Even with the Brain changed to Architecture Library, I got 6755 results concerning history and theories from the past until today. But I was still able to find a book, that got me exited. I stumbled over this Book, Modern Architecture Theory form Mallgrave, a couple of times, but I wasn’t surprised at all, because the Book presumably covers almost everything starting with the construction of the Louvre until the modernism in Europe and America with an example of a Library from Louis Kahn in New Hampshire.
The Book „Modern Architecture Theory“ form Mallgrave certainly has a connection to my Book, „Dell’architettura. Dialogi di Ermenegildo Pini C.R.B“ because in its prelude it discusses topics of ancient architectural theories, in order to prepare the reader for the neoclassical and modern theories of Architecture.
The Book „A History of Architectural Theory, (from Vitruvius to the present)“ of Hanno-Walter Kruft, that I found in my first attempt, with the name of the author of my book – Ermenegildo Pini, also covers large parts of the history of architecture, but I does it in the Form of Dialogs, much like Ermenegildo Pini did it in his book „Dell’architettura. Dialogi di Ermenegildo Pini C.R.B.“.
