Drawings from all parts of the Church of Holy Stone of Rome

The Premiere and the largest of all the churches of the Christian world.  Exactlyon  the premises by Jacques Tarade Architect and Ordinary Engineer of the Roy in the year 1659. The one after his return from Rome made him modeled at Versailles or his MajistŽ took pleasure in seeing him several times and to inquire about all the diments. The beauty and grandeur of this building committed the J.S.Tarade to have all the designs engraved by the s'marot, but the great occupations that the J.Tarade had for the service of his MajistŽ did not allow him to have them brought to light sooner.
To give a more perfect knowledge of the greatness of this Church it is compared here and put in paralelle with that of Notre Dame de Paris the two Plans eftant put together one and reduced on the same scale what makes it know the difference of the first shot of Oeuil.

Jacques Tarade, former Director of the Fortifications of Alsace, who had the honour of serving Your Majesty all his life and who would like to witness his Reconoissance, comes to present him with the first part of the Studies he did in Rome that make the plans from all parts of the Church of St. Peter of Rome the first and largest of all the crestian churches of the world the magnificence of this great building engaged it being on the places to lift exactly all The Planes, Profiles, and Elavations through which one can easily see the inside and the outs, and to give a more perfect knowledge to Your Majesty, he put the Plan of St.Pierre in Paralesse with that of N™tre Dame of Paris and ed the cathedral of Strasbourg by which, Your Majesty to see at a glance the differences as no one juice-that-after has put nothing in the room on this subject , either acause, of the great Work or that he did not have the penfŽe these Sire Reasons, have carried the J.Tarade to make all the designs but also to have them engraved in soft size so that Your Majesty may have more distinctly all the parts. The Subject he deals with makes him hope that Your Majesty will want to see this work with a favourable eye, and if this first part has the advantage of being pleasant to Your Majesty he may give the other parts in the suitte but all these hays will be unused sire if Yours MajistŽ by an effect of his ordinary Goodness does not want to assume what is to be missed on the part of the , with the most porfonds Respects, Sire of Your Majesty

Excerpt from the Privilege of Roy

By grace and privilege of the Roy i allowed Jacques Tarade Knight of the Order of St. Louis, Former director of the fortifications of Alsace to have printed and sold by printer -ur bookseller that he will choose, a lure titled. Drawings from all parts of the Church of St. Peter of Rome in such a great way and as much foy as good willembalm in all the heard country Ceres and Seignauries of Nostre Obeissance panda the time of ten concecuitive years from the day of the date of the presents aves defenses to all people of a few qualities and condition that he can ester to forge them copy or copy print in any size part of whatever size is to sell ny sell under pretext of engraving or foreign printing or otherwise without the sound slowly by writing of the J.S.Tarade or es causing apeine of ten thousand pounds of almond confiscation of prints and examples and all of them. Moreover, Does Her Majesty want that by putting these words in a few places of J. designs, with the privilege of the Roy, his presents livernt, held to be  de-intended and foy to be adjoutŽ as at the original given at Versailles on the 29th. Day of the month of January 1713. By the Roy in his Consel signed Foucquet and  sealed with the great Bucket of Yellow Wax.
