The book «Le Vite de’ piú celebri architetti d’ogni nazione e d’ogni tempo precedute da vn saggio sopra l’architettura» written by Francesco Milizia consists of 4 libros and three parte, consisting of around 60 pages. Each part is diveded in two to five chapters.
Every new «book» and part starts with an Illustration. Not only you can find one above the titel also the first letter is framed and illustrated.
The Illustrations show different landscapes, architecture and people. The illustration rather support the text than the opposite. Besides those Illustrations there are just a few small illustrations like ornaments or details interrupting the running text. Anyhow, the main part of the book is the text as it makes up the majority of the content.
The whole book is written in the same font and is mainly running text.
As already mentioned in the titel Milizia writes about the most famous Architects of all nations and times.
There is a paragraph for each one of those specific architects. One paragraph usually consists of one or two pages. A new paragraph is indicated with the Architects name in bigger letters.
Also the first letter of each paragraph usually covers two lines and is three times larger than the remaining text.
