Oeuvres d´architecture

I was impressed by the level of detail to drawing and the actual fountain itself. But the explanation as to why to have a fountain in the public space was interesting: The author talked about how every tiny little bit must be perfect to have a perfect society.
This plan impressed me because it showed to me that the basic elements of drawing a plan clear for any viewer already was this detailed in the 18th century.

The book was big and had some of the drawings on a collapsible site, so the drawings were sometimes even two times as big as the book itself. It smelled like the old wood in a 50-year-old cabin, which was soothing.
