FRIENDS WITH AN OLD BOOK

For me this spread appeared very interesting because even though there are only written words, you have the feeling that you look at a painting. It’s amazing how much effort the people put into handwriting in the old days. Today we just write everything on computer. It gives us a lot of information to whom it is dedicated, about the author and the topic of the book.
This page seems very important to me for the fact that it gives us an overview of the topics which the book covers.
This jumps right into my eye for the reason that the palace is drawn on two single pages. The author even writes over the two pages and doesn’t care for margins so the drawing appears to be one big unit. It differentiates this book passage from the others.
