There are four different parts (‘Das erste Buch der Fortification’, ‘Das zweite Buch der Fortification’ etc.), they all discuss different topics regarding the fortification.
After the first opening of the book, the reader is greeted by a lavishly titled cover picture, on which the title of the book and the name of the author are written. This is followed by about 360 pages of text. The last 400 pages consist exclusively of diagrams, pictures and other representations.
