The book is called „Neü-herfürgegebene Kriegsarchitectur“. The title reveals what the book is about: buildings for the war and military buildings.
The author Christoph Heidemann, who also wrote more books about military buildings, wanted to probably point out, how buildings in these times can be built and didn’t only write about different ways of designing military buildings, also he added some sketches and illustrations at the end of the book (that can be folded and are bigger than the actual book), to state his ideas better and make them more understandable. These sketches seem to be floor plans and other technical drawings taken from different perspectives.
In the beginning, the book starts with a short introduction and then continues with the description of the sketches at the end of the book.
The book is intended to be read by high society people, who own a lot of money, or architects and civil engineers as a kind of template or example how to build those kind of buildings. Furthermore, it needs to be said, that the book is more of a sketchbook and a catalogue to look through and get inspiration than a book to read through only because of the philosophical aspects.
The book is rather small and thin, but also big. It’s a book an architect or a person, that is involved in this topic, would buy. Not a person that has no idea about architecture.
