As the book is written in Italian, and I sadly cannot understand the language, I was unable to fully comprehend the content of Enea Arnaldi’s “Delle Basiliche Antiche”. Thus the illustrations found in the book were the main elements that led to my own understanding of this particular book.
According to the title of the book, I concluded the content to be based on the roman-antique basilica architecture. This would line up with the various diagrams and plans of numerous basilica-looking buildings.
Towards the end of the book, several tables and lists, containing many numbers appeared. It was concluded that these might stand for a collection of proportions, probably in reference to the basilica.
