General Subject:
In his book “La perspective curieuse”, Jean François Niceron deals with the various variations of Arcs ( Bows ), Portes ( Doors ) and Bridges of many different famous architects as: Vignole, Palladio, Scamozzi and Vitruve.
Within those themes the book shows examples of the Doric, the Ionic and the Corinthic orders.
Structure of the book:
After a short introduction, the book begins with the table of content for better structure. The book is split into 19 Parts which are all divided in its own chapters. Each Part of the book deals either with a certain theme or architect. To make the content more reasonable each Textslide is supported with one to two illustrations, wich easily show the difference between the various architects.
The illustrations are simple but detailed paintings wich often have another close-up illustration to show some further detail to the reader. Within one chapter the illustrations don’t variate from another to offer a better contrast between little differences.
The book contrast the different architects and orders.
