Its cover presents itself in a chestnut brown colored leather. The hardcover feels rather raw, but it must have been soft back when it was bounded. It shows light scratches on the front and back side. The spine of the book shows how it is actually bounded. Throughout the years the leather became thinner along the spine, which gives the book a fragile kind of feel to it.
The book starts with a dedication to „Monsieur Le Marquis de Louvois“. The dedication is followed by a preposition, which introduces the following chapters. The main part of the book is structured into four chapters, each chapter approximately the same length. The last pages consist of sources and explained vocabulary, which is used throughout the book.
