Greetings_93: Our books have many similarities in appearance, but also in content. Both books contain detailed hand drawings of a wide variety of columns. These hand drawings are also supplemented with technical information. In addition, your book also deals with the subject of entrances and their proportions. The books both have a leather cover with a very similar shade of brown. They also have an almost identical spine with the same details and with similar font and font color. Our books are also similarly narrow and large. The colored decoration on the cover is the only major external difference from my book. Another difference between our books is the language. Your book is written in English and my book in German.

Argument_25: I came across your post through the title of your book. The very similar titles “Architectura civillis” and “Theatrum architectura civillis” both contain the words “architectura” and “civillis” and therefore indicate similarities in content. Both books deal with the subject of public architecture and the public interest. They discuss the question of what architecture is and explain the methods of designing long-lasting and goal-oriented buildings. There are also similarities in structure, as the books consist of main chapters, which are divided into several smaller chapters. They contain illustrations, perspective drawings and views. Your book was also written in the Old German language and published in the 17th century.
