Hi! I noticed that your book has some similarities with the book I analyzed (Lucidum prospectivae Speculum). They are both books from the 18th century with a Latin title. You also mention that yours is richly illustrated especially in the back of the book, just like mine. From your description, I could imagen that they have similar aspects just as the size and the unfolding pages. Nevertheless, what stand out the most to me was that both books can be used as textbooks for students. In terms of content one as well as the other represents drawn illustrations, perspective, and ornaments.

Hi! The book I analyzed is “Lucidum prospectivae Speculum” by Paul Heineken and just like you I compared it with Robin Evans’s work “The Projective Cast: Architecture and Its Three Geometries”. As I could read from your text, your book has to do with geometry and perspective, just like mine. That’s probably the main reason we came up with the same book through our research with “Ask Alice”. We both noticed that Robin Evans writes about the relationship between geometry and architecture. Just like your book, mine also deals with how to use geometry and perspective more than how it affects the art of architecture.
