To the book: Les dix livres de vitruve. Corriges et traduits nouvellement en François, avec des Notes et des Figures
Hi, I found your book because it is the only one containing the name “Vitruv”, besides of my own book. After reading your text, I see that some similarities between our books would be that they both don’t have a list of contents and apparently they are both of a bigger size than the “usual book”. Different to my book, yours sounds more like a summary and interpretation of the Vitruvian books, whereas my book is a critique to those. I also see that there’s a 100 year time difference between the publishing of our book, so I assume that our authors never met even though they both did services to the royal family.
To the book: Li cinque ordini dell’architettura civile di Michel Sanmicheli rilevati dalle sue fabriche / e descritti e publicati con quelli di Vitruvio, Alberti, Palladio, Scamozzi, Serlio, e Vignola
Hi. I found your book as I was looking through some posts to find any similar looking books to mine. I chose yours because of the pages, that look like they have the same feeling to them as the pages in my book. They seem to be of slightly varying thicknesses and also have those edges that are not quite clean. The cover of my book also contains this thin paper that was laid upon. I think that these similarities come from the fact that both our books were released in the mid 18th century and thus were made with similar techniques.
