The book I was assigned is “Architectura hydraulica, oder: Anleitung zu denen Brunnenkünsten”.
At first I started looking for associations with the author’s name: Caspar Walter, but even with different search methods and through the various bookshops I could not find anything interesting.
i then moved on to searching for keywords related to the topics covered in the book, such as hydraulic systems water mills, but the search proved rather difficult, as there were very few interesting associations.
I did, however, find two books about mills, although they were used for other tasks:

Rinne, The Waters of Rome

Each new mill reused the water from the mill above it, thus slowing down the water and lowering the pressure so that the pipes would not burst.

Frampton, Modern Architecture A Critical History

Thus traditional textile manufacturing was forced to abandon its predominantly rural base and to concentrate both labour and plant, first next to water courses and then, with the advent of steam power, close to coal deposits With 24,000 power looms in production by 1820, the English mill town was already an established fact.
