I have the book “Le Theatre de l’Art de Charpentier”. As I found out in the last two orders, this book is about several wooden constructions. In the book there are many illustrations about wooden constructions. Roofs of churches and so on. They are recorded and explained. That’s why I decided to pick it up and search in the search engine Alice.
My search term was therefore “carpentry”. Thereupon more than 9 results were shown to me. But I liked the “Sketchbook of Honnecourt”. This is as the name suggests a sketchbook. There any wooden constructions are sketched and described. Also roofs of chapels and so on. That is exactly the main topic of my book.
“Wood construction” was my second search term. The book that caught my eye the most was by Kohlhaas, Elements of Architecture.
Here many elements of architecture are described. For example walls, windows, ceilings, etc.
In the case of roofs, wooden constructions are also shown. This harmonizes with my book.
