As a first step, I looked again at my images that I selected from the first task. After that i sarted to type in some words into Alice and looked for a fitting quote.
The first word i typed in was “drawing” because in our book there were a lot of them. The first quote i chose is from Deplazes, Constructing Architecture, “The person producing the drawing should always consider for whom the drawing is intended and what information that person needs.” I think this quote fits pretty good to our book. Because in the drawings there are many informations about it. How exactly something is build. For example a stair. They’re trying to show how a stair is build with drawings. There are different types of them. So the drawings should include everything a person needs to build something or for other cases.
The second word I typed in was “column” because in the first Task I chose a side of the Book with some columns on it. The quote I chose is from Hugo, Les Miserables, “This could only be the head of a column; and of what column?”. It fits with the Book because espiacally the head of the different columns are shown and drawn. You can kinda see what kind of a column it is but sometimes they are only showing the half of it. But still it’s pretty clear what they wanna show us. The important part of the Column. The head and the bottom. What’s also shown is the Gesims oft he column. Which is a part of it and very important. They show how it looks like from the front, the side, the upper and lower part of it. Sometimes there is also some text which describe the drawings but very rare.
To summ up it was interesting to read all the different quotes and to connect them somehow to my Book.
