The full title of the book is „Kurtzgefasste Einleitung zur Perspectiv“ it tells us that it’s kind of a short manual to understand the concepts of the perspective. I believe that the book is written as a book for students to learn the basics of the perspective. The book does not have a list of contents. however, the book starts with a foreword and continuous with various exercises to learn the perspective. In the end the book contains multiple drawings to explain the concept of perspective. The drawings show how one is supposed to draw architectural elements. The book therefore, is a manual for young architects to help them draw correct architectural plans. The book is relatively small. It’s easy to carry around. This makes it clear, that the propose of this book is to be read by students and used as a manual. It can come to use at any moment because its light weight and small form. The book was written by Johann Christoph Bischof in 1741. Its original language is German. There is not much to find about the author. But I believe that Johann Christoph Bischof wanted to create a short and easy to understand book, which contains the most important rules of architectural drawing, so new architects had a guide where rules were set.
