Insignium Romae templorum is the title of my book. The title itself already tells me, even thought I don’t understand all, that it is about Rome and something about time.
There is no clear list of content inside the book but even though that’s the case its clear that he doesn’t jump from one building to the next and back, no he stays with one building until he is finished with said building.
There are a lot of Illustrations each with a bit of text with it: sometimes it’s just a name of an architect and sometimes its a title of the building, written in beautiful decorated letters, sometimes above and sometimes beneath. This clearly tells us that the author took a lot of car in properly showing the creators and the building itself its worth.
The pages are thick and large, meaning the drawer was able to make a lot more detail in the before mentioned Illustrations of the building. But making such a book surely couldn’t have been cheep, meaning that someone either wealthy or dedicated stood behind this project, probably both. Not to mention that it surely took a lot of time to create.
Giovanni Giacomo de Rossi is the Authors Name, in this case this could the compiler of different architectural Building. He collected different buildings and preserved the knowledge of these buildings for future generations.
