Picture 1: Geome trical Section of the Temple of Jupiter (p. 116)
Picture 2: General Plan of the Town and Fortifications of SPALATRO (p. 52)
The first picture shows a temple. The focus is on the inside of the temple. The spatiality and atmosphere seems to be recognizable even if everything is kept in black and white. The strong shadow gives the drawing depth and power. Further it is the only section of an entire building which I found was an interesting aspect as well. The second image represents a landscape. In contrast to the first picture, the clear rules are lost here. It is not recognizable in which perspective the drawing was made or what kind of scheme was used. I find it exciting that the final result, just like the first picture, clearly shows what the author wanted to make clear.
