On these two pages about the Value of Frontispieces, there are two things about the formatting in particular that I find interesting. For one, between a topic and the corresponding number there are one or multiple lines, varying in length. The second thing is, that the first syllable of the word on the next page is printed on the bottom on the right of the page before, in this case There- for therefore and Some-.
These pages are interesting, because it shows the typical structure of a textbook we still use today. The lecture is at the beginning, followed by examples, then an additional rule or explanation.
These two pages about Addition have two things that I found interesting: There’s a lot of negative space, which is unusual in this particular book, and the usage of brackets. On the left side of the brackets there are notes, and on the left side there are rules.
